Moonis Elahi sent to jail on judicial remand

A local court of Lahore Friday sent Pakistan Muslim League-Q leader Moonis Elahi to a camp jail on 14-day judicial remand in NICL scam, Geo News reported.

Moonis Elahi was created before the court of Judicial Magistrate, Muhammad Irfan Basra on completion of 14-day amount of physical remand.

FIA officers informed the court of completion of the physical remand which currently the defendant could also be sent to jail.

Counsel of the defendant argued that the jail are a dangerous place for Moonis Elahi and thus he could also be detained in an exceedingly rest house.

The court sought a response during this regard from the Punjab government and upon obtaining permission Moonis Elahi was sent to a rest house situated in Cantt space that was declared a sub jail.
