libya-attack Denis McDonough, an aide to US President Barack Obama, hinted Wednesday that those near Libyan leader Moamer Kadhafi had contacted the US administration to explore rejoinder of the conflict.

In a similar vein, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has said that Kadhafi insiders is also actively seeking exit choices whereas Defense Secretary Robert Gates raised the chance of defections from Kadhafi’s inner circle.

A senior US official told AFP that Libya’s foreign minister Mussa Kussa and Abdullah al-Senussi, Kadhafi’s brother-in-law and head of military intelligence, have recently known as high-ranking US diplomat Jeffrey Feltman.

However, the official, talking to AFP on the condition of anonymity, linked the calls among the previous few days to efforts to win the discharge of 4 journalists, that eventually happened, instead of to alternative problems.

McDonough told MSNBC tv that the air strikes launched Saturday by US, French and British forces were having a sway on Kadhafi’s regime even supposing they’re designed to guard Libyans from attack by his forces.
